Frequently asked questions.

1. What issues can you help with?

I work with individuals facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, chronic illness, and more. Services may also include psychological assessment and consultation.

2. What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is typically an intake or evaluation. We’ll discuss your concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and determine if we’re a good fit.

3. How long is each therapy session?

Sessions usually last 55 minutes, depending on your needs and the type of service provided.

4. How often will I need to attend sessions?

Frequency depends on your needs and goals. Most clients start with biweekly sessions, which may shift to monthly as progress is made.

5. How long will I need therapy?

The duration varies by person and issue. Some concerns are resolved in a few sessions, while others may require longer-term support.

6. Do you accept insurance?

Information about accepted insurance plans, private pay rates, and superbills for reimbursement can be provided. Please reach out directly to learn more.

7. Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, child or elder abuse). Your privacy is taken very seriously and will be discussed in full during the first session.

8. Are virtual/telehealth sessions available?

Yes, I offer secure telehealth sessions for residents of Hawaii and Indiana.

9. Are in-person sessions available?

Currently, in-person sessions are not available due to the rising costs associated with office rental space. All appointments are conducted virtually to ensure accessibility and continuity of care. When in-person sessions become available in the future, currently established clients will be notified first, followed by new clients.
